Humans act because of motivation. (motive to act)
Otherwise, we won’t drink water/ eat/ pee, etc
Those are all actions.
About going to the gym...
My motivation is low in quantity and/or quality as compared to scrolling.
(Quality? Yes! There are 6 levels of motivation - we'll talk about it later)

3 things:
1. You stop feeling helpless about motivation.
Motivation is not a shooting star that appears sometimes randomly.
You can generate and regulate motivation. (with support. I specialise in it.)
Metamotivation = Psychological processes that monitor and modify motivational states.
It is a skill that can be developed over time with practice.
Like learning a new language.
To generate motivation, we need to fulfill our 3 psychological needs.
More on that later.
2. You become aware of your motivation for your actions.
Motivation is not just "feeling inspired"!
Ever eaten an ice cream (action) because of sadness (motivation)?
Ever done a workout or punched someone (action) because of anger (motivation)?
3. Identify your motivation today.
Right now, you are motivated to read (& be here with me in this post).
